Beryl is shifting throughout Texas as a tropical storm after knocking out energy to hundreds of thousands and leaving at the very least two individuals useless within the better Houston space.

Beryl turned a Class 1 hurricane after shifting via the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday evening and made landfall round 4 a.m. in Matagorda.

THE LATEST: Beryl continues to maneuver via Texas

Because it moved via southeast Texas, the hurricane had most sustained winds of 75 mph and gusts close to 90 mph.
