Thorold Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony 2024
Thorold Legion Department 17 is internet hosting a Remembrance Day parade and ceremony on Monday, November eleventh, 2024 at Memorial Park.
“From Friday, November 1st to Remembrance Day, thousands and thousands of Canadians put on a poppy as a visible pledge to always remember those that sacrificed for our freedom,” stated Glenn Kempson, Legion Department 17 poppy chair. “We invite everybody throughout the nation to indicate their recognition by proudly sporting this image of Remembrance and taking a second to replicate on November 11th this yr”
The Remembrance Day Parade, will start within the parking zone behind Thorold Legion Department 17 at 10:20 a.m. The parade will proceed West on Albert Road, South on Entrance Road, East on Sullivan Avenue/Clairmont Road, North on Chapel Road, and West on Albert Road to the Cenotaph in Memorial Park for 11:00 a.m.
Thorold residents are invited to observe the parade and attend the ceremony that will probably be held on the Cenotaph in Memorial Park. The ceremony will start at 10:55 a.m. and a second of silence will start at 11:00 a.m.
