Wild Dog, the upcoming action-thriller film from Nagarjuna Akkineni, was released in theatres on April 2, 2021. The action thriller film will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning today, April 22, 2021. Aside from Nagarjuna, the Wild Dog cast includes Dia Mirza and Saiyami Kher in key roles. Many real-life terrorist attacks in India are depicted in the film. The film’s plot revolves around the titular character, Vijay Varma (Nagarjuna Akkineni), also known as Wild Dog, who is summoned back to investigate a bomb explosion in Pune. As Vijay discovers Khalid as the perpetrator behind the blast, he leads a clandestine operation to apprehend him.
Nagarjuna explains why he didn’t want Wild Dog to be released on OTT.
According to Bollywood Hungama, South Indian actor Nagarjuna recently disclosed why he didn’t want his film to be released on OTT platforms even during these tough times when people were afraid to go to theatres. The actor stated that he was aware that the film’s opening would not be typical, but he was nevertheless adamant about getting the film a theatrical release because it deserved to be shown on the big screen. He went on to say that he didn’t want it to be released on OTT platforms because fans and critics in the South didn’t appreciate it when their favourite actors’ films were released on OTT platforms.

Nagarjuna’s next film appearance will be in the fantasy action-adventure film Brahmastra. Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Mouni Roy also play important roles in the film. The actor was most recently seen in the 2019 romantic comedy film Manmadhudu 2 opposite Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role. The film was a direct sequel to Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu and an official remake of the French film I Do.
