The bells of Notre Dame Cathedral rang on Saturday night in Paris for the primary time since a hearth devastated the Paris landmark in 2019.

Paris Archbishop Laurent Ulrich started the ceremony by knocking thrice on the cathedral’s door together with his employees, referred to as a crozier, which was comprised of one of many burned beams of the cathedral’s roof.

The ceremony to mark the cathedral’s return to spiritual companies was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and a whole bunch of dignitaries, together with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, first girl Jill Biden, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the U.Okay.’s Prince William.

The cathedral’s restoration and return to service after 5 years has been a hit for Macron, who has had current political difficulties.
