Longtime Calgary broadcaster Darrel Janz has died
Longtime CTV Calgary information anchor Darrel Janz has died. He was 83.
His loss of life was introduced in a social media publish by a member of the family on Saturday.
Janz was a broadcaster for over 60 years, with 50 of them spent in Calgary, the place he hosted the CTV six o’clock information from 1973 to 2010.
After stepping down from his anchor publish, Janz continued at CTV, launching a weekly collection known as “Impressed,” during which he profiled Albertans who had made an inspiring contribution to the province.
