Early morning Abbotsford house fire kills 1, 2 critical
A devastating early morning home hearth in Abbotsford has killed at the least one individual, the BC Coroners Service has confirmed, with one other two individuals in important situation.
The fireplace broke out on the home close to Pineview Avenue and Parkview Avenue within the metropolis’s Clearbrook neighbourhood earlier than 6 a.m.
In an announcement to CityNews, the Metropolis of Abbotsford shared that its Hearth Rescue Companies (AFRS) was known as to the hearth after studies of “individuals inside.”
“Crews arrived to seek out a big quantity of smoke and hearth coming from the again of the home,” the town stated.
“Crews have been capable of pull all six occupants out from inside the house, who have been positioned within the care of BC Ambulance Service and shall be receiving help from Emergency Assist Companies.”
The fireplace was knocked down, the town explains, and “all different buildings have been protected. The reason for the hearth remains to be underneath investigation.”
The town added two occupants of the home have been taken to hospital and at the moment are in important care.
In an announcement, BC EHS says a number of paramedics responded to the blaze, with an air ambulance on standby.
“Paramedics offered emergency medical care to six sufferers. Three sufferers have been transported by floor ambulance to hospital. A further two sufferers obtained care and evaluation from paramedics on the scene however declined hospital transport,” stated paramedic Public Data Officer Brian Twaites.
