Special Envoy on North Korean Human Rights Issues Turner’s Travel to London, Paris, and Geneva

Ambassador Julie Turner, Particular Envoy on North Korean Human Rights Points, will journey to Europe November 5-8, 2024.  Ambassador Turner will go to London and Paris to fulfill with authorities officers, civil society organizations, and North Korean escapees to debate human rights points within the Democratic Individuals’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), methods to assist the escapee neighborhood, and the inextricable hyperlink between human rights abuses within the DPRK and worldwide peace and safety.  She is going to then journey to Geneva for the DPRK’s Common Periodic Overview (UPR) on the UN Human Rights Council.  The USA stays resolute in its dedication to interact with different governments bilaterally and in multilateral fora to advertise human rights within the DPRK, spotlight human rights abuses and violations, and demand accountability for these accountable.
